Product Introduction

RS-03 is an open-type thermal switch. Its temperature-sensing chip is directly exposed to ambient air, delivering higher sensitivity and faster thermal response for over-temperature protection. It features fixed operating temperature, no manual adjustment, reliable and sharp switching, low arcing and long service life.

It consists of high-sensitivity bimetallic element, spring leaf, moving contact, fixed contact and ceramic base. Under normal operation, the bimetallic element remains free, and the contacts stay closed to conduct the circuit.
When abnormal overheating occurs, temperature rises to the rated tripping value. The heated bimetallic element generates internal stress and quickly separates the moving contact, cutting off power supply and shutting down the device to achieve overheat protection.
When temperature drops to the rated reset value, the bimetallic element returns to its original state, contacts reconnect and the appliance resumes operation.

Applications

As an open-type thermal protector with exposed temperature-sensing chip, it features direct, rapid temperature sensing and high sensitivity. It is suitable for installation in air environments with fluctuating temperatures.
Widely applied to hair dryers, electric ovens, fan heaters, clothes dryers, heat guns, glue coating machines, tableware dryers and other heating electrical appliances.

Operation Instructions

- Adopting high-precision high-temperature electronic ceramic bracket with all-metal components, it withstands high-temperature impact excellently.
- This is an open-type protector. Do not press the sensing chip or excessively stretch contacts during transportation and installation, to avoid damage to the chip or loss of contact elasticity.
- Ensure reliable connection between protector terminals and external lugs during installation. Poor loose connection will cause abnormal heating and affect normal protection performance.
- Actual operating voltage and current must not exceed rated specifications. Operation below rated voltage and current is fully available.
