KSD9700 Thermal Protector
1. Structural Features
KSD9700 thermal protector consists of highly sensitive disc-shaped bimetallic element, moving contact, static contact, fixed base, housing and high-temperature resistant wires.
Under normal operation, the bimetallic element remains free, the moving contact connects with the static contact, and the circuit conducts.
When the appliance overheats abnormally and temperature rises to the rated tripping temperature, the heated bimetallic element generates internal stress and acts rapidly to separate the moving contact, cut off the circuit and stop the appliance, achieving over-temperature protection.
When the temperature drops to the rated reset temperature, the bimetallic element returns to its original state, contacts close and the appliance resumes operation.
This product features low resistance, fast temperature sensing, quick response, high safety & reliability and compact size.
2. Applications
Washing machine motors, air conditioner fan motors, dryer motors, water pump motors, transformers, ballasts, power tools, automotive DC motors, microwave motors, range hood motors, electronic components, heating appliances, etc.

Once temperature falls to rated reset temperature, the bimetallic strip recovers, contacts reconnect and equipment restarts working.
